Ferguson Turns Down Bosnich Loan Deal

MANCHESTER UNITED boss Sir Alex Ferguson has refused to allow goalkeeper Mark Bosnich to go on loan to Glasgow Rangers, according to the player's agent.
Steve Kutner, who acts for the out-of-favour Australian stopper, claims an approach was made by the Scottish champions to recruit Bosnich as a replacement for Stefan Klos.

"We were approached by Glasgow Rangers for Mark Bosnich to go on loan," said Kutner. "We were very interested in the move. However, when the projected arrangement was put to Manchester United, Sir Alex Ferguson turned it down flat on the grounds that United have very important games coming up and he wants Mark to stay."

Bosnich could come back in from the cold at Old Trafford with Fabien Barthez's still struggling with persistent back problems and Raimond van der Gouw's poor recent form.

It is an amazing turn around by Ferguson, who wanted to send Bosnich to Celtic just a month ago for the rest of the season, and it is sure not to improve relations between both men.
