1990:
Made his first senior appearance against
Wimbledon. After 2
seasons at Old Trafford.
His failure to gain a work permit forced him home to Australia where he linked
up with previous club Sydney Croatia.
1992:
His marriage to a Manchester girl gained him a work permit
and in February he joined Aston Villa after borrowing money from his parents to
buy out his contract with Sydney Croatia.
1993:
Played outstanding in a top of the table clash against
Manchester United.
Controversy over his transfer- free to Aston Villa but with an alledged payment
to an agent broke FIFA rules, and in May the Football Association brought a
charge of misconduct against Aston Villa.
1994:
His remarkable record of penalty saves helped Aston Villa
reach Wembley where they won the league cup.
1996:
He was a key figure in the season to which Aston Villa
re-gained the league cup.
1999:
Re-joins club Manchester United via the Bosman ruling.
He was contender to man of the match as he made a series a fine saves to secure
Manchester United a 1-0 victory over Palmeirs and win the inter-continental cup.
2000:
Has an up and down season with Manchester United due to
injury and questions begin to arise.He Plays outstanding to help Manchester
United win the intercontinental cup, never won by a British team before. Helps
Manchester Uniued to the Premiership title.
He insists he will see out the rest of his 3 year contract at Manchester United
unless the grant him a free transfer. He is frozen out of the side and replaced
by Fabien Barthez, but says "I believe in time,I will be the first choice
Goalkeeper again".
2001:
After being
frozen out at Old Trafford for a long period of time, Mark Bosnich is granted a
free transfer and moves to London club Chelsea.
He says he wants to put the past behind him and win things with Chelsea
